Fuel level sensors

NEW FUEL LEVEL SENSOR OMNICOMM LLS 30160

The new Omnicomm LLS 30160 fuel level sensor with digital interface has a tamper-proof one-piece body, a new ultra-strong metal protection tube and increased protection against electrostatic, electromagnetic and conducted interferences. The modified shape of the sensor’s head significantly improves shock resistance and its reduced height allows installation to units located closest to the fuel tank. The thick carrier plate increases protection against leakage and its flexibility enables installation on circular-shaped fuel tanks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Digital Fuel Level Sensor is designed to measure fuel level in the vehicle fuel tank and fuel storages. The sensor is connected to GPS tracking device reporting the measured fuel value. It is also possible to monitor and control fuel data using special software which allows for creation of different reports on transport fuel consumption, as well as to notify in case of violations. As option, we offer a special display in the cockpit which shows the fuel OTE Coals

There are currently several ways to monitor fuel consumption. However each of them has its drawbacks. For example, a standard floater does not have high level of accuracy, while a CAN-BUS has the so-called “blind zone”where the inaccuracy can reach 100 liters. Such methods of control as fuel consumption rates, set by manufacturer or the company using equipment itself, are unfortunately, imprecise as well. Consumption rates are usually inflated and, moreover, they do not consider vehicle load, driving style and road quality.

An improved fuel monitoring system can save up to 30-40 % of the fuel costs. Such savings guarantee ROI within 2-3 months. With oil and fuel prices continuously rising, more and more companies operating fleets are thinking about reducing the fuel costs. By choosing appropriate fuel monitoring solutions, everyone benefits —fleet owners cut fuel costs while system integrators earn money.

Fuel monitoring technologies have advanced significantly. With oil prices rising every year, it becomes essential to have fuel control systems in place. Especially this refers to companies operating large fleets. Logistics management tries to have the”right product”, in the “right quantity”, at the “right place”. Fleet management systems with precise fuel monitoring solution provide necessary tools to optimize logistics and cut expenses. As fuel accounts for at least 30% of operating costs, fuel management is the main logical place to start in order to achieve operational efficiency.

Any company owning fleet benefits from accurate fuel monitoring. Speaking about specific industries, fuel monitoring equipment is widely spread in farming, logistics, construction and development, road building, mining. Commercial fleet for passenger transportation is also one of the main consumers of quality fuel monitoring equipment.

The basic algorithm is quite simple. Its objective is to count fuel expenses before installation and after it. Then it comes to analysis of fuel consumption with the help of a fuel level sensor. Work of fuel level sensor is analyzed as well as fuel drain. Usually the amount of economy in one month accounts for 30% average. With fuel costs equaling to —say — 1 mln dollars a month, even a 5 economy makes a sufficient figure for cutting fleet expenses.

It’s not as terrible as you think.Around 550,000 of sensors have already been installed — 250,000 of them last year alone. The entire sensor market was estimated at 300,000 units last year. If you decide to install our sensor and drill a hole in your tank, you won’t be the first. It’s safe and you are not in a danger!
